Why I Created This Blueprint

This blueprint was not born in a classroom.

It was born at a kitchen table —

with a woman who understood that love IS the lesson!! 💕🐢

When my husband Michael and I were young parents, we were both working full-time and doing our best to build a life for our family. During those early years, my mom, Susie — “Nana” to our children — cared for them while we were at work. She didn’t just babysit. She poured into them. She practiced letters and numbers, read stories, built puzzles, and turned ordinary moments into joyful learning experiences.

To our children, it never felt like school, it felt like love.

When my mom passed away, I began reflecting on the foundation she helped build in those early years. I realized she wasn’t just teaching ABCs — she was building confidence, curiosity, and connection. Tiny Turtle Learning was born in her honor (she loved turtles), and this Blueprint is my way of carrying forward what she modeled so beautifully: steady, joyful, intentional learning at home.

Later, I became a stay-at-home mom and chose to homeschool all four of our children. It wasn’t always easy — there were tears, questions, and moments of doubt — but there was also growth. Today, three of our children have graduated high school and are thriving in their chosen paths, and our youngest continues her homeschool journey. Looking back, I can see how those small, consistent preschool foundations made a lifelong difference.
